Caribbean: Fungi is on every single menu in the Virgin islands. It kind of tastes like soggy, grainy, bread... But goes great with meats! It is made up of corn meal and okra.

(The mushy ball in the middle)
Fungi is popular due to it's inexpensive ingredients as well as it is relatively easy to cook.
Chile: Bistec a lo pobre is beefsteak, French fries, fried onions, topped with a couple of fried eggs. Fried Fried Fried.

Honestly doesn't even look that bad. Translated this dish is called, Beef to the Poor. This dish used to be considered fast food or 'junk food'. That must mean it's delicious.
Afghanistan: Qorma is super delicious looking. Qorma is typically an Indian dish dating back to the 16th century. Meet and water are
braised together, mixed with vegtables and yogurt. That's strange. Coriannder and cumin are used to add a little middle eastern spice.
Peurto Rico: Mofongo is a concoction of mashed plantains, some seasonings, and what ever meat you want as a filler.
Kinda looks a little like fungi, they are only 25 minutes apart!
Australia: Fantales are little bite-sized carmal bits coated in milk chocolate. Sounds like a great outback snack. Wow that really not funny...
U.S.A.: Corn Dog
Apparently Germans were who invented the Hot Dog, so being Americans, we had to show them up. We took a weenie, shoved a stick in it's rear, threw some batter on it, then deep fried it to artery clogging perfection. First Corn Dogs were found dating back to the 1920's then were made popular by the 1940's. Thank heavens for that.
